One of the best dining experiences of my life. Colette is located in the Sofitel. The interior is warm and cozy, modeled in the French "brasserie" style.

For me, there were many "bests" at Colette. Best calamari. Best steak. Best bread. Best fondue. Best creme brulee. For an appetizer, I had crispy calamari. It was the freshest, most flavorful calamari I've ever had. The batter it was fried in was crispy and light...perfect. Bread is also included as an appetizer. The bread was superb. I had the fondue bordelaise. The fondue sauce was red wine flavored with spices like bay leaves, thyme, and rosemary. The meat that came with the fondue was the most tender, high-quality meat I've ever had. I cooked it in the hot red wine for about a minute, and it came out tender and delicious. Our excellent waiter brought me a free dessert, which was also wonderful. The dessert was an array of chocolate cups filled with various fruit custards, including passion fruit and raspberry. All of them were scrumptious.

My dining companion couldn't finish her creme brulee, so I helped. It was the smoothest, silkiest creme brulee I've ever had. Extremely good to say the least. To top it off, our kind and generous waiter gave me two free French baguettes. A perfect end to a great meal. If you are ever in Minneapolis, please, please make a stop at Colette. You will walk away stunned and impressed.

Great Easter Brunch/Buffet! Friendly service staff, quality of food was terrific & fresh. Nice array, variety and price was affordable. We really enjoyed ourselves.

We had an excellent meal, and the service was also excellent.

My husband and I had a very nice experience. The waitress was pleasant and prompt. My husband was able to choose a complimentary dessert for his birthday, which he quite enjoyed. Will recommend to others.

We went for my wife's birthday and sent in the OpenTable reservations it was her birthday and she liked chocolates We started in the bar with a cheese plate and glass of wine - you have try a cheese called Purple Haze if you grew up in the 60 ;-) nicely served with fresh grapes, berries and candied walnuts. the waiter wished her a happy birthday by name as we were seated. We had scallops with the asparagus and shrimp flambe with risotto and both meals were done perfectly -both these items can be easily overcooked, these were done just right. The waiter brought my wife an opera cake with a candle. the service was attentive with the just the right touches. We hadn't been in a few years and the renovation was nicely done. I want to send my note of thanks for a wonderful meal, we were celebrating my wife's birthday and it was excellent! The waiter was great and food was excellent, We will be back thanks.

Food was excellent as was the service. Loved the cheese and wine flights. What was especially surprising was the reasonable price for the quality and quantity.

Excellent staff from the minute you arrive until you leave. Definitely a team approach there.

Good restaurants with average food & service are hard to find. Great restaurants are even harder. Taking a chance here was worth the risk. Our server, Nicole, made our 36th wedding anniversary here an outstanding choice. The food was the extra bonus. True choices in French cuisine from simple to elegant dishes made this a definite repeat for us, and a strong recommendation for anyone else. Do NOT miss enjoying a memorable dining, and service experience! Please make sure Nicole gets a 'job well done' thank you for her outstanding service on our 36th wedding anniversary celebration. She walked us through the entire menu, giving us the time to be relaxed and enjoy the evening, and the meal.

"First time back since the make-over! The restaurant looks great, the menu was excellent, and our server was great! Two in our group were from CT, one had been here last year, and all of us enjoyed our food, AND the wine! We had a nice corner table, and it was easy to converse. I'll definitely be returning!"

“My husband and I celebrated Valentine's Day at Colette on 2/13. The restaurant has recently been remodeled to a more contemporary style, and was very romantic. The ladies at each table even received a complimentary rose! Our server was talkative and friendly, but not overly so. The food was fantastic, and definitely worth every penny. I normally never finish my plate, but I couldn't bear to waste one morsel of the chilean sea bass! My husband loved his rack of lamb, and his only complaint was that he wanted more. :) Growing up in west Bloomington, I know there aren't many good restaurants there - but Colette is the best restaurant in the cities, as far as I'm concerned! Thank you so much for a fantastic Valentine's Day dinner! Our compliments to the chefs and to our friendly server.”

“I have been to Chez Colette a few times, but this was a first for my wife. I choose Valentines Evening for our dining. We had appetizers, dinner, dessert, and drinks with each, all recommended by our server, who by the way, was Great. He knows his wines. We both had the rack of lamb, and even though mine was a little undercooked, my wife's was perfect, and being her first taste of lamb, she loved it. We would definitely recommend it. And Sam, the manager was terrific. He is always a gentleman. Thank you Sam. I don't remember the name of our server on Valentine's Evening, but he was excellent. Everything he selected for us was perfect. And Sam, it was great to see you again. My wife loved it all.”
